About This Project

José Manuel Ortigosa Carranque “Lolo” and Emilio Ortigosa Carranque make up this duo from Rincón de la Victoria (Málaga). The passion of these brothers for music goes back to 1993, instilled by the rociera faith of their family and the love for their land of Malaga, they began this journey with the formation of the children’s choir Romeros de la Blanca Paloma. This was the beginning of Lolo and Emilio’s musical career.

Even though they were part of this group, their interest in music continued to grow and a parallel project was born, which they now form under the artistic name of their surname.

Today they sound more powerful than ever. They will present their first album in 2013, entitled Hazme un sitio (Make a Place for Me) in the great Cervantes Theatre in Malaga. In the same year they win the first prize for the best Sevillian rociera of the year, “No me hace falta llevarla”. At Christmas 2016 they presented the single Esto es la Navidad and its success led to the filming of a video clip set in the streets of Frigiliana, a town in the Axarquia region of Malaga. In the same year the tour of Christmas shows begins under the name Ortigosa & amigos Esto es la Navidad.

In the summer of 2017 they launch the single Dos medallas in digital format. This track will be included in a future record in which they are already working.

In Christmas 2018 they will release the single Ya llegó la Navidad in digital format accompanied by a video clip filmed in the town of Rincón de la Victoria.

In 2019 they will release a new “live” album, recorded inside the amazing Cueva del Tesoro (Treasure Cave) in Rincón de la Victoria, the only cave of marine formation that exists in Europe and one of the only three caves that exist in the world.
